Pollution is the message I would like to propose in this advertisement piece. More specifically, water pollution. I drew a salmon being cooked, however something peculiar will be noticed once you look closer. It has a lot of dirt, cigarette butts, and plastic inside! The only one at fault are humans, disgraceful humans who don’t care about throwing the trash anywhere. So, their sins come back to bite them in the form of a heavily contaminated salmon. Thanks to human’s negligence, a horrible dish tragedy would have been easily avoided.
The first billboard is in landscape with the salmon on a pan on a white background. The lines, “Looks Tasty, eh? Look closer.” in Javanese Text is at the top. The sentence, “Give mother nature trash, she’ll send it right back! Stop pollution!” in Book Antiqua is located at the bottom. The foundation of my choice is the Save Our Seas Foundation as their goal is to save the Earth’s waters from any more damage. I put a black version of their logo on the bottom-left side while their website is at the bottom-right side. My goal for this is simplicity and straight to the point, for people to see and get the message immediately.
The second side billboard is the salmon again but this time roasting on a black grill. Same placements as the first billboard and all the text are now in white to contrast the darkness of the grill. The message and style are the same to tell that they are in the same boat when it comes to stopping water pollution.
