Vanity Recreation

Here's my first main assignment for my Character Design class. It is a recreation piece of Frank Cadogan Cowper's oil painting,"Vanity". My teacher gave us several photos of "classical" women, and I chose this one in particular as she caught my eye. I'm really proud of this one.

I recreated her with pastel pencils on a colored pastel paper pad, which is quite the experience as I never used this medium before. I became a fan, so expect more pastel pencil art in the future!
